Last Call for the SpaceCom 3 Axes Antennas

The manufacturer of the SpaceCom 3 Axes antennas will no longer be making these antennas... period. In one final production run, they are making a limited number of them for Satellite Technical Services.

Many of you have been contacted regarding purchasing one for back up for when the time comes that your existing antenna's life ends. Those of you who have been billed, thank you for your trust in us, those who have been contacted but not billed, please call one of us immediately, and those of you who are now hearing about this may call us to see how many we will have left. We will be selling them on a first come, first serve basis after the committed ones are gone.

Safe travels and Happy New Year!!!

Delay of the new Dial-Up Dispatch Proceedures!

UPDATED October 02, 2007!

Serious technical issues have created further delays for our new dial-up service. During the course of testing our Engineers discovered several issues that have created more delays.

Thus we are now advising all users that our new Dial-Up system should be available by the end of the year 2007. Current users of our Dial-Up system will notice an interruption to the current Dial-In number with the change over to our new system. PLEASE register at this web site to avoid any service delays or interruptions.......

STS would like all subscribers to be aware of our new Dial-Up Dispatch Service. Because a small percentage of subscribers have been using the present Dial-Up Service in excess, STS and Glentel have been advised by countless numbers of subscribers that using the present Dial-Up Service does not work for them, because the number is frequently busy.

Soon, this will change. STS and Glentel are in the process of implementing new procedures that will ensure those subscribers who need Dial-Up Service are able to use it. ALL Dial-Up subscribers will be required to register, and STS will assign each customer a private Pin Code. In addition, all subscribers will need to adhere to a strict number of maximum minutes for each call.

Gone are the days that subscribers will be allowed unrestricted access to the Dial-Up Service. Individuals using the Dial-Up Service will need to plan their calling details in advance as each vessel will only be allowed a preset number of Dial-Up calls per 24 hour period.

More details of our new service will be posted on this Web Site in the coming days.

07-16-06 Are you experiencing ????"Cross Talk" ????

In recent weeks we have had several of our customers calling us to report 'Cross Talk'. 'Cross Talk' occurs when a subscriber attempts to use the AlaskaNet Dispatch Service, you attempt to call another party when you key down the microphone and release it then out of nowhere you hear two differant AlaskaNet parties talking to each other.

This problem will keep the third unit (you) from sending or receiving any transmissions during this time. STS and Glentel are aware of this problem and have been in constant communication with the owners of the Satellite Network. If you experience 'Cross Talk' please report the incident to STS via email at info@satellitealaska.com.

Please include the date, time of day, and which D/N's were involved in the 'Cross Talk'. We will pass your report along to the Satellite System owners as well as record the incident. We hope to have this issue repaired in the very near future.
